Popp Family
Tuesday, June 12, 2012

I often get requests for a family session when for a number of reasons the whole family is getting together.  Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles and all the cousins all in the same place at the same time.  What better time to get some family photos done.  That was the case for the Popp family.  A graduation open house up north meant everyone would be together.  Here are some results of our afternoon together.www.carlsonphotographytc.com

Sara, Jesse and Family
Tuesday, June 05, 2012

I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Sara and Jesse last summer.  They were married at Frog Pond Village on what turned out to be a beautiful day.  This spring we got together again to do some family photos with some of their extended family and their son.  We met in Alden at the Depot Park and then made our way over to their family owned Higgins Store for some ice cream.  It was great hanging out with their family again.  Here are some images from our session together.   www.carlsonphotographytc.com

Rebecca and Jeff Engagement

I have to say that my wife is an amazing mom.  With 8 kids you have to be.  Think about how much laundry we produce each day.  Crazy!  But more important than any of those tasks that she has to accomplish each day is how much she loves each of her kids.  We spent Mother's Day at a park with my mom and dad.  We ate pizza, played some baseball and let the kids run around.  After church that morning and before heading out to the park Mary wanted me to take some pictures of her with the kids.  Of course I got out all of my gear.  You can't ask a professional photographer to take pictures and not get out all his toys.  So anyway, here are some ...

The Editing Process...why what happens to your images after the session really matters!

In a recent post I directed you to an article dealing with what are called "Shoot and Burn" photographers.  These are photographers who after returning home from your portrait session or wedding (and sometimes even right on site) immedietly connect their camera to their computer, upload the images with little or no editing and give them directly to you.  This seems nice at first for two reason.  First, you get your images right away.  Understandably no one wants to wait for things we are excited about.  You'll also find these photographers cost a fraction of the price of other photographers.  And they can afford to do so.  First, they spend only the time ...

Grayson Infant Session
Saturday, April 21, 2012

I'd like to introduce you to my new nephew Grayson.  I was able to spend a morning at his home with mom and dad and get some cute images.  As always, infant sessions are an adventure.  You know how it is, infants sleep all day long until you want them to.  And the ever present danger of a bare bottomed baby if you know what I mean.  But after all is said and done I think we were able to get some great images.  Enjoy!www.carlsonphotographytc.com
